- Client – 200 Degrees
- Project type – Fit-out of flagship coffee shop & barista school
- Location – 34 & 35 Sincil Street, Lincoln
- Duration – 5 weeks
- Completion – March 2019
We were delighted to be appointed by 200 Degrees to fit out their 8th coffee shop as part of the firm’s impressive expansion, which has so far included the likes of Nottingham, Birmingham, Leeds, Sheffield, Leicester and Cardiff. Located in Lincoln city centre the new flagship shop provides room for 90 coffee lovers to enjoy handmade fresh food and artisan coffee. The shop is also home to a barista school on the mezzanine floor, where bespoke expert coffee training can be offered for everyone from novices to experts.
The overarching 200 Degrees style is based on a relaxed and homely feel combined with distinctive features such as:
- Low level pendant lighting
- Exposed services and brickwork
- Generous internal floor to ceiling heights
- Wooden flooring and panelling
- Feature copper panelling
- Rustic furniture
- Open fireplace
The design of this store completed by Retail Design Solutions was unique, but a common theme throughout a number of their locations is the barista schools, where 200 Degrees baristas offer training on how coffee should be enjoyed.
Our transparent, thorough and methodical approach proved to be exactly what the owners of 200 Degrees were looking for. We successfully delivered the project on time and budget and our client reported stronger opening week figures than any other store launch to date.
“Aptus and their team were exceptional to work with right from kick off. With an organized and very engaged approach they understand what’s needed to run a professional site whilst having the flexibility to tweak and change when needed. The Lincoln store, whilst having some intense moments, always felt like one team working to one goal.”
Tom Vincent, Director, 200 Degrees.
