Overview: Orchard is a fast-growing technology company, which employs around 200 people, in 2015 had annual sales of £16m and was based at Kings Manor on the outskirts of Newcastle City Centre. Due to their rapid growth they decided they needed a bigger and better environment to work from. The company have now invested around £1m into their new location in Central Square, Newcastle and have transformed the space into an ultra-modern technology hub.
Aptus were appointed to deliver the £600,000 contract with Orchard, which resulted in a total transformation of its 1,500m2 of open plan space. The project involved refurbishing the entire third floor of Central Square which had been a tired empty office for several years. Features of the new office include open plan, break out areas, meeting rooms, an innovation suite, café and boulevard reception complete with eight life size trees throughout the office. The client was delighted with the finish we provided them with and Orchard’s Managing Director commented: “We were very impressed with Aptus from the outset.
